Windows XP puts Internet Explorer on the desktop whether you want it there or not. Remove Internet Explorer from the desktop.
Desktop Items
Open the display properties.
- Right-click anywhere on the desktop.
- Click the Properties item.
Open the desktop items.
- Click the Desktop tab.
- Press the Customize Desktop button.
These are the desktop items.
This completes the desktop items.
Desktop Icons
Windows XP puts Internet Explorer on the desktop whether you want it there or not.
Remove Internet Explorer from the desktop.
- In the Desktop icons section,
- Uncheck the Internet Explorer box.
- Press the OK button.
It closes desktop items and returns to display properties.
- Press the Apply button.
It removes Internet Explorer from the desktop.
This completes desktop icons.
